Twirling Championships after a win ning performance last Saturday in Pickering Susan a student at GDHS and daughter of Muriel and competed at the 1988 On tario Provincial Freestyle Cham on April 30 This Is her third year tins event which combines 15 compulsory moves with a threeminute freestyle program Competitors must place In the top five positions in the province to qualify for the Canadian National Championships which are being hosted in Toronto In early July For the past two years Susan has competed In the Junior division which includes competitors 14 years and under Both years Susan has just missed making the topfive This year although Susan is only 14 she turns is in the fall which means she must now compete In the Senior Wimena division yean and older With this being her first
