series K kkx Raiders lack lustre in 73 loss Herald Sports Editor There were no sounds of music flowing from within the Georgetown Raiders dressing room following last Saturdays regular seasonending 73 home tee loss to Oakville Blades The Raiders usually play taped rock tunes after a game but its a good bet the only sounds they heard on Saturday were those made by coach Peter Sturgeon The sophomore Georgetown coach was somewhat upset after a rather lacklustre performance by his charges against the very team theyll faceoff against in Central Ontario B Hockey League playoffs beginning tomorrow night in Georgetown We shouldve been using this game as a tuneup for the playoffs lamented Sturgeon We definitely werent playing the best of our game We were out worked In order to win youve got to give everything youve got Raiders headed into Saturdays game after losing a 32 heart breaker in last Thurs day and despite knowing they could do no better or worse than fourth place in the final circuit are set to meet fifthplace Oakville Blades in a bestofseven quarter final set beginning tomorrow at at Alcott Arena Although some of the names and faces are different its the same Blades organization that swept last years Georgetown squad then known as the Gemini out of first round playoff competition in four straight games That fact hasnt been tost on second year Georgetown coach Peter Sturgeon and hes sure a large number of his revamped Raiders feel exactly the same Its on my mind and Id think on the minds of about 1012 other guys on this team said Sturgeon last Saturday when
