13171220 pm After the Johnson and Associates tricounty bantam hockey team opened the second round of their playoff series with Acton on a win ning note the bantam Bs proceed ed to lose the next three games straight thus ending their OMHA playoff hopes With coaches Poulstrup and Juby not overly pleased with the previous threegame effort against Acton they set their sights on the first round of their tricounty playoffs against Milton The opening game in a three series in Milton did little to improve the opinions of either coach Poulstrup or Juby as their team scarcely went through the motions and Milton skated to an easy victory Game two in Georgetown saw Milton take a threegoal lead by the midway point of the second period and it looked as though Milton would avenge their loss to Georgetown by taking this series in two games straight This however was not to be as someone sounded the wake up call for Georgetown and Craig put the locals on the scoreboard at the mark of the second period Alan Fudge scored at 739 in the third and Jeff tied the score with one minute left to play in the game In the 10minute straight time overtime period Chiefs open playoffs Georgetown Packag ing Minor Chiefs opened their playoffs with wins over Streetsville and Ancaster On Feb 28 at Memorial Arena the Peewees struggled to record a victory over a stubborn Streetsville squad With the score in the third period Jamie Stephenson scored his second goal of the game on a pass from Gavin Glaser and on the same shift not ched the insurance marker with assists to linemates Scott Wilson and Stephenson To insure the victory Doug Sheppard popped two goals with two assists to Duke Bouskill Glaser added his second assist and singles were added by Mark Aldridge Erler and Tyson Hackett John Waller was On Mar the Minor hosted Ancaster at Memorial Arena In a chippy contest the Minor Peewees prevailed by a score of led the charge with two goals with single markers to Sheppard Stephenson
