when they won the division Their first game on Fn day night saw them work hard together only to lose 65 The game sped quickly with only 35 minutes in playing time This loss put them in the B division The Ladies returned on Saturday to win all three games played Sandy Brownndge hit two fantastic over the fence in one game In other games Maureen and Sandy Brownndge hit inside the park homeruns Other great hitters included Vivian Brenner Vera and Lisa Sharon Marshall Manon Lumbers and Sandy Prowse for doubles and Carol See played a tight defence during all the games and made some extraordinary catches Maureen Halpenny doing the ma of pitching and Sandra Pro helping kept the team s bats going Cindy playing first base was impressive with her catching and defensive play The diamond for the B division was hard which made the ball bouncy and defence tricky at times The teams win made coach Jim Bailey a very happy man The Ladies received a team trophy and in dividual prizes of Red Coors
