Rotary Park during the month of July Both victims had been drinking and had difficulty defen ding themselves at the time of the assaults The first incident took place on Monday July 3 At 8 pm the 70- yearold male victim was found laying in the bushes at the west end of the park suffering from bead wounds He had been struck over the head at least twice with a blunt instrument The suspect is described as male white ap proximately 28 years old blond short hair clean shaven narrow face lbs possibly had of hearts on one arm wearing sunglasses dark shirt and blue or grey trousers The second assault took place prior to 2 am July 5 The male victim age 40 was walking through Rotary Park in the area of Mill Pond He came across four male youths Words were exchanged and the youths attacked him The victim was knocked to the ground and repeatedly kicked He suffered a broken jaw and numerous bruises to the head arms back and legs The suspects were last seen running behind the pool in Rotary
