starts at cultural centre For over 30 years J Ross Colter of Georgetown has chipped away at his hobby of marquetry and has produced- lifelike portraits and landscapes using wood Some of his works have won awards in competition at the Cana dian National Exhibition His ex hibition this month at the Georgetown Cultural Centre in Georgetown marks the third time since that his works have been in that to w people attending a wedding in Georgetown last week North area health super visor Neil Patullo said the affected people were among a group of people at the wedding The food served was purchased at Loblaws groceteria in South Common Mall But Peel Regions health depart ment says therejjavf been no in cidents of food poisoning connected with the Mlllcreek Drive store En vironmental health said the food itself may not be the cause of the food poison ing Preparation of the food could result in illness he said The food at the wedding was prepared by a caterer Haltons health department is done for Halton n A report prompted by a com plaint from Oakville Coun Fred Oliver caused Regional staff to in vestigate what AMO has done tor Halton Region The answer must be that has not done anything specific for Hon the report says but the question however can be revers ed to ask what would the Provin cial government do if the efforts of AMO were not there at all But councillors were not satlslied with the staff report in my opinion is costly operation with no results Oliver said its a useless organization aid Milton Coun Bill Johnson Some councillors argued that could protect i interests by staying in AMO and continuing to send representatives to meetings Burlington Hob Forbes said at membermunicipalities size makes it very dif ficult to alter to change the direc tion of what he calls an elephant organization But Halton should stay in as long as the municipal body that lobbies the provincial government exists he said Chairman Peter Pomeroy said Halton has done our
