week and will advertise in the town local newspapers and on Halton Cable television There will be displays on recycling awareness at the Halton Hills Cultural Centre and the Hills Civic Centre and a at last Wednesday s council meeting that the Sunday shopping issue cannot be settled with a yes or no vote A provincial legislation under the Retail Business Holidays Act gives municipalities the right to exempt stores allowing them to open Sunda This could be an important op portunity for us for the Region to foster tourism the Acton coun But last week at a Regional finance meeting Halton coun voted to attempt to give Sunday shopping ruling back to the province said if Halton Region waits for the province to determine the Sunday shopping issue for Ontario municipalities Halton two
