tioning in three Georgetown houses this past summer Denny Rowley received 3100 in fines Thursday when he was tried in absentia in Milton Pro vincial Court Mr Rowley who was found guilty of three charges of not having a building permit and charges will also pay to repair the air condition ing units he installed Hills bylaw enforcement officer Bob said there were caused by freon leaks in the Mr conditioning equipment n Ihj three houses on Stockman and Irwin Crescents and lie instance where an air condi tioning motor was installed backwards A representative from heating and cooling in Georgetown said the flashburns are not dangerous and are usually caused by a leak in soldered pipe joints The backward motor would cause the air conditioning unit to stall Mr said there were other Retail Business Holidays Act that allow some stores to open Sunday while others close under threat of legal action do sell the same kind of goods as the Olde Hide House and our Sunday customers have a choice between ourselves and the Hide House They have only one option Ms said following Wednesdays council meeting Our attitude is council is not the one to decide whether or not its go ing to be profitable to open Sun day Ms said councils deci sion to keep stores closed on Sun days during the Christmas season is not a big surprise but she said she would consult with the depart ment store executives to deter mine their next move Volunteers worked f 3000 hours in Acton Over the past year people have donated over 3000 hours of their time and energy to help others in Acton according to Ac clients with meals Last year the program a service taking senior shutins to a local restaurant on a monthly basis has 32 volunteers work a total of 350 hours for 40 clients going to 230 luncheons The
