this week resulted in a first tune win over Oakvtlle this season and a tie with Stoney Creek one of the top teams in the league The win over Oakville was a seesaw battle with both teams tak the lead at times only to see it tied up again Georgetown goals were scored by persistence digging and a real team effort from all the defence and forwards Geoff Beauparlant had a super night in goal stopping many Oakville attempts Garry McNiven had a four point night earning himself two goals and two assists Other goal scorers were Andy Kerslake Chns Goodhew and Pete Assists went to Pete Bnggs Keith Hunt Darin Finlayson and Robbie Pilgnm Cornev and held the well keeping the puck in the oppositions end for the chances In the game against Stoney Creek Pete opened the sconng on a lucky high pass from the corner that hit the back of the goalies mask and fell in behind him Assists went to Garrv and Andy Kerslake Stoney Creek then scored two goals one on a powerplay to take the lead Goodhew then tied the game up with assists going to Darin and Robbie Pilgnm With only 20 seconds re maining in the second penod Stoney Creek scored to take the lead again Shortly into the third penod Keith Hunt tied the game up Assists went to and his second of the night Goaltender Andrew Craig had a fine night stopping many Stoney Creek attempts as Georgetown got into penalty situations Stoney Creek scored twice another one on a powerplay goal and went ahead by two Georgetown however did not give up earned the puck down the ice around a Stoney Creek defence and shot wide off the end boards followed GEORGETOWN
