counts according to tournament organizers Dae and Grant Richardson For something that took place with such short notice commented Dave Paterson everything turned out great The competition the atmosphere and the cooperation of all Involved could not have been better Paterson also voiced a thank you to George and Dragon owners John and Julie Craig who hosted the event and provided sandwiches for the competitors The tournament also raised for the Heart Fund Bob chairman of the ton Hills Heart and Stroke Foundation was on hand at the George and Dragon to accept the cheque for from Dave Ban tarn are gearing up for playoffs After a long layoff last league game was before Christmas the bantams came back with a vengeance putting together a three game undefeated streak against some of the top place teams in Count this past week Saturday saw the locals in Dun das for what turned out to be the wildest game of the season so far Georgetown was all over Dundas from the first faceoff with an ex cellent team effort and fine from Tom Spencer and they soon opened up a seven goal lead Goal scorers from and M were Shaun Curry with two goals Mike Large Matt Downs Tim Presswood Denck Ellard and Brent each with singles After Georgetown s seventh unanswered goal at the midway mark of the third period frustration boiled over into an ugly brawl initiated by Dundas when their captain No dragged Mike Large from the penalty box and started pounding on him When it became clear that Dun das had picked the wrong guy to tangle with m Large they sent reinforcements from their bench which resulted in a 20minute delay in the game and many suspen sions Credit has to be given to acting coach Rick Hume for keeping his players on the bench and not sink ing to Dundas level of play With Georgetown goalie being one of the ejected players Dundas was able to get four quick goals but thats all they got as the final buzzer ended the game Georgetown Dundas Monday had the bantams in missing three players thanks to Dundas and still on a high from their big win there Both teams played a fast hard hitting game for three penods The first period was a duel with both and Georgetown Tom
