walked across the street to the Cultural Centre where they enjoyed the play The Burning Man produced by the Georgetown Little Theatre a suspense drama from start to finish The evening was arranged by Fred and Marg Clarkson of Georgetown Prayer day NORVALThe World Day of Prayer will be held at United Church on March 9 a m for coffee The service will start at 30 a The theme A Better Tomorrow Justice for All was prepared by the Women of Czechoslovakia The guest speaker will be Pastor John Novak a retired minister from Annette Baptist Church In Toronto The date has been changed from March 2 to McCIure Dessert and coffee was served while President Mae Dixon open the meeting in the usual way Roll Call What year did you join the I was answered by all members with some even remembering at what made to the hospital They supplied jam and pickles for meals linens for the nurses residents furnished pa tients rooms and made lunches for the hospital auxiliary sales Many and donations were made earned by catering bake sales making of quilts and any way a few dollars could be made Jo Anne told of the hospitals past and gave an insight as to what is in store for the future In the next five to ten years the hospital will take on a hotel like setting with new wings underground parking and new concepts in patient care A cheque for was presented to JoAnne by Esther McCIure and Janet Anthonys niece Mary Janet Walsma on behalf of the members and the late Janet Anthony Janet had been a very devoted worker for WI and for many years and was a charter member The money will be used to purchase
