bowing out of play in the 30th An nual Georgetown Bantam Interna Hocke Tournament follow ing a heart breaking overtime loss to Preston in a C Division semifinal game The goal for Preston might best be described as to say the least and it spoiled what vas turning out to be a fine tournament run for and Pro Sports The Georgetown Division entry started tournament play on a discouraging note losing their 32 to Royal York Things considerably from this low point the Georgetowners thumped Oakville then blanked Preston to claim first place in their division M and M Pro Sports drew Preston again as their semifinal opponent and perhaps the earlier division win distracted the local favorites from the task at hand and Pro Sports led 2 after the first period and appeared to have the game well For some unknown reason the Georgetown snipers began firing blanks from this point and Preston was allowed to steal the berth in the C Divis on Final Preston t ed the game at 2 2 with left n the second penod and that s how the score stood through third period play and Pro Sports had numerous scoring opportunities but either misfired or tned to be too fancy when scoring chances arose Their biggest problem was shot selection as a shots ap peared aimed directly at Preston goal tender Adam who would then flop to the ice smothering the puck and ting rebounds Preston s winning goal was in deed a strange one With just over three minutes to play in the minute overtime Lacrosse association schedules clinics The Acton Mino Lacrosse Association has scheduled an open prac for Novice boys and girls Georgetown end and unmolested for what seemed like an eternity directly behind the M and M Pro Sports net No one on either team seemed to know where the puck was Preston s Moore spotted the elusive disk and swooped in for the kill With and M Pro Sports Tom Diardichuck who had a fine tournament looking around the right side of the net Moore went around the net and tucked the puck into the left side of the goal for the unassisted winning marker A frustrated M and M Pro Sports assistant coach Rod Presswood who was filling in for head coach John Wright who had work com was at a loss to explain
