twohour movie And when the camera came in close it would have been obvious that it was a guy playing a woman Dana Carvey I read that you had never done drag before you created the Church Lady and that it made you uncomfort able to dress up like a woman A At first it did because I never worn a dress before I was able in the beginning I grew to en joy it more than I care to admit laughs I dare any heterosexual man over to put on a dress and not feel funny Some people dig it and more power to them But for me personal I prefer pants But that probably because I m weak shallow and insecure Staying Together looks at laughter heartbreak and death AT THE MOVIES By DIAHANN NADEAU Herald Special Staying Together is a charming little movie about a family going through what families go through laughter heartbreak death and love The three McDermott brothers Brian Kit and Duncan lead an idyllic life they work for their father they play to inherit the town they have loving parents and all the women they can handle But suddenly things change Dad sells the business the women don want to marry Kit and Bnan and Duncan just can t lose his virgini Nothing good lasts forever although the brothers find out that you can lose a lot but still have one another This is not an action packed adventure but it is an endearing movie with lots of lovely moments and some very funny bits The cast is excellent with Dillon as the vague but loving mother Tim Quill as Mulroney as Kit and Sean as Duncan The rest of the cast includes Stockard Channing Daphne Zuniga and Dinah as the women in the boys lives and this reviewer s favorite drummer Levon Helm in a small role as a store owner and band leader For once we see play and sing in a movie a real pleasure however brief his moments are Lee Grant
