Kingston s average attendance was over of capacity The Seattle Thunderbirds broke a Western Hockey League atten dance record this year when they crammed 12253 fans into the Seat tie Center Coliseum on February 9 setting a single game attendance mark The T Birds drew over 180 fans this season including 60 plus at the five games played in the Coliseum as well as being at or near capacity for their hockey to hone and fine tune their skills There is also a tremendous combination of player makeup in the CHL Chynoweth con tinued when one considers the bright young stars such as Mike Peterborough ed Seattle Keith Niagara Falls Karl Dykhuis Hull Scott Niedermayer Martm Lapointe Laval and Eric etc The league and the member teams have become so much more sophisticated and pro fessional in terms of
