Georgetown teenagers who have taken on a dif type of summer job this They are working for the Halton Hills Recreation and Parks Department as Leaders for the Musical Theatre Camp They work with children between the ages of 9 to 13 It is a three week camp that allows parents to involve their children in different aspects of a stage production It is held at the John Elliot Theatre Monday to Friday from am to The children spend the time building sets and rehears ing for their own personal tion coordinated by the Leaders The finalized play is performed at Court reform plan to begin Sept 1 TORONTO Attorney General Ian Scott has announced that the implementation of Phase I of court reform will occur on September The objective of court reform said Ian Scott is to arrive at a simpler more the M C A applied for the job as Camp Leader because she likes working with kids and feels especially oriented towards music She wrote one of the songs that the children performed Chris also enjoys working with youngsters and although not sure feels he might like to go into teaching someday The camp has given Liz and Chns expenence in planning and working on their organizational skills There are also special guests who aid the leaders and children by giving them valuable insight into the various aspects of theatre Some of the guests have ed Dale Hamilton a playwright from who assisted in the script Debbie a singing and piano instructor who aided the children in the acting and vocals John Thomas musical director for Godspell who gave a general workshop on performing and Claudia Carolina who operates a dancing school in Madnd and was able to teach the children certain dances including the Flamenco dance the children perform during the performance Although the program is over Liz and Chns are on to new pro jects with the Recreation Depart Liz will be working with a day camp in Georgetown located in and Chris will be off to Acton for a Summer Activity camp for children between the
