Harry toms commencing the evening s program The Parade was then handed over to the Chairman of the In itmtion Team Bruce McCartney who then proceeded with the In ltiation of four Ordinary and Associate new members President Hank Russell welcomed the new members to the branch and looked forward to seeing each and every one of at all branch functions The President then turned the gavel over to the Honors and Awards Chairman Mac McLean for the remainder of the evenings pro gram Tutty Service Officer and Sick Chairman of Branch on behalf of Mrs Sarah Davidson a Silver Cross Mother presented to the Corporation of the Town of Hills and Branch The Royal Canadian Legion a fram ed Memorial Plaque with Mrs Sarah Davidson s son Harvey medals Sarah s Silver Cross and a photograph of Harvey uniform mounted on a red velvet background Mayor Russ Miller and President Hank Russell then presented a framed Certificate of Appreciation to Chuck who accepted on behalf of Mrs Sarah Davidson who was unable to at tend the ceremony due to her fail health On behalf of the members of the 1st Canadian Parachute Bat Association President An dy Anderson presented a plaque to Branch memory of the late- Jim Sargent He was ac Legion Lines MG TUTTY Branch 120 PRO compaiued by a founding Past President of the Association Bob Editor of the Association Newsletter Reg Walker Quarter Master Roily LaRose Scotty Etmanski Tom Jackson a Past President and their wives Jody Johnson Winner of the In termediate Essay Contest Dominion Command Level was presented with a plaque by Ron Elliott District B Deputy Commander Angus Roy District B Deputy Commander Paul Zone B7 Youth and Education and Carol Honsberger District B Youth and Education Chairman jointly presented a plaque to Jody and her mother to be displayed in Jody s school First Prize Winner Dominion Command Jody was then presented with a cheque by John Usher Zone B7 Com To the pleasure of all present Jody did a reading of her winning essay President Hank Russell receiv ed his Past Presidents Medal and Bar with Maple Leaf from Ron Elliott District Deputy Commander The President then presented the following medals Honorary Secretary Awards Nighl In recognition of upcoming Poppy Week the mayor donated to the Poppy Fund am this years ceremonial first poppy from Flo Carsweli of the Georgetown Branch Herald photo President Ernie Peasey Ab Ford was the recipient of a bronze Tankard from the Branch in appreciation for the many volunteer hours of work Ab has given to the Legion over the past years Thank You Ab from all your comrades The ceremonies at an end the Chanman Mac McLean wished everyone present to enjoy the rest of the evening entertain ment and buffet Membership Chairman Ray Clarke had some Long Service pins to
