Parade has come and gone but not before some of the participants were recognized for their efforts dur ing the big event Saturday A people place llullon Hills Civic Centre located just off Maple fruits and vegetables including a pound pumpkin grown in Nova Scotia All of the fruits and vegetables were from the Royal Winter Fair Exhibition in Toronto A chicken and rabbit also were included in environ ment for the children Other award winners included Cambridge Cadets Dutch Boy Cadets for Best Band the Georgetown Lion s Color Party for Best Marching Group and Georgetown Optimist Club for Best Service Club Float The Georgetown Fire Flies received an honorable mention for their float comprised of Bat man and the Ninja Turtles said Mr Rush Mr Rush said there were over floats in the parade a similar number to last year The number who came out to watch the parade was down a little from last year due to the cold and win he said Next year s parade will mark the anniversary and the vice club is hoping to do something very special in recognition of the landmark said Mr Rush Nothing has been decided for certain he added Christmas stories to be published Attention Halton Hills
