place Streetsville by strik ing for four unanswered goals in the second period of their game in Streetsville Tuesday winning The last two games saw Haiders go into the third period tied Georgetown woke up against last place Peterborough Dec 14 to take the win but allow ed top ranked Milton our goals in the final frame losing84 It was a real impressive win for the guys Streetsville is a good to coach Bruce Andrews even though the team won the girls could have played better The game went on too long it wasnt good volleyball Nobody on our team seemed to want to put the game away He said said this season has already been an improvement over last year The girls didnt win a single game then Now they have a good chance of doing something in the playoffs Jennifer a setter on the team and Irish Denny were singled out for their hard work on the court Midgets played Tuesday at Milton finishing third in the tour nament The team won their own tournament last week but were only able to defeat Milton losing Georgetown and Bishop Reding basketball teams both tost their games at Drury Wednesday Juniors lost with James and Dave Paty each getting four points in the game Midgets lost also but were unavailable at press swim team won seven of 13 races they competed in at their swim meet Tuesday at Ac ton Indoor Pool against Nelson Robinson and Pearson Tracy led the way with two first and two second place finishes She won the 200 metre freestyle and 100 metre breaststroke taking second in loo metre freestyle and metre freestyle Adam Hagen and Bill McDonald each netted singles McFadyen said the game was a good team effort especially with two players Grant Dexter and Charles Officer unable to make it to the game Everyone chipped in Hagen moved up to left wing from defence and got us a goal Jason Nicholson played great in net stopping a lot of shots especially in the third McFadyen said Nicholson got a lot of action at the end of the game due to the penalties Raiders were taking There were way too many We were pretty well shorthanded most of the period I dont know if the referees were trying to even out the score or what but we seemed to be getting those four minute penalties while Streetsville got only two minutes McFadyen added that the defence really helped keep the home team off the scoreboard After Streetsville scored two to make it there were minutes left to play but
