provincially approved the Region would reduce funding to each hospital equally to over come the shortfall As part of his presentation Mr Oliver outlined for the committee the hospitals 10year capital budget forecast Mr Oliver stresses the hospital normally only does a fiveyear strategic plan so the dollar figures put forth are estimates He said the hospital is currently preparing its five year plan which will take the hospital to According to the hospitals estimates it will need million dollars over the next seven years to fund capital pro jects Some of the projects include for a new eye surgery outpatient service to be establish ed over 199293 million for obstetrics renovations in 1994 anothef million for outpa bent services in 1995 and million for the replacement of radiology and ultrasound equip ment said Mr Oliver Underlying the plan is the hospitals thrust towards increas ed outpatient services said Mr Oliver The strategic plan is scheduled to be completed this summer he
