past was Colin Gibsons dad Walter A member of the and Sutherland Highlanders for 18 years Walter participated in the Burma Campaign For three years 1942 to Walter was a Japanese Prisoner of War He was incarcerated in the following camps Medan Northern Sumatra Southern Sumatra Malaya and Singapore Walter is the author of two books one being The Boat Readers Digest published in the 2nd volume of Hall The team of Sam Snow came in first That same evening Joe and his helpers held a Dinner and Dance Thanks go to all who made dona tions to these events It is much appreciated Joe the sponsoring committee and all their helpers are to be commended for their hard work and dedication to the Legions Air Cadets All proceeds raised go to help 756 Squadron Air Cadets to faciliatate their train ing and although hav ing had some stomach problems he was in good spirits and even signed two of the cards for the personnel in the Gulf Hope to see Gilbert English next week have a chat with him and have
