takes fourth in tournament Injuries and absences hurt North Peel Midget Selects chances at Belle Rivers Ontario Volleyball Association Tourna ment resulting in a fourthplace finish last Saturday Competing in the tournament were seven of the eight top- ranked midget teams in southwestern Ontario Georgetown is well represented on the North Peel squad as Stephanie OBrien Darby Erler Julie Scarlett Tanya McMaster and Christy are team members Injuries and absences meant the Selects were forced to play without their starting setters Hamilton Seekers and the South Peel Selects the two top ranked teams soundly defeated a hesi tant North Peel team in the open ing two matches by scores of and respectively After losing the opening game of their next match to Brampton Spirit by a score of the North Selects began a determined run with a victory in the second game The Selects then swept Scarborough Nova 1510 and and the Toronto Titans and A sweep of host Windsor Dig gers was needed to place third in the round robin play A split meant a fourth place finish for the North Peel squad The top four teamns advanced to the medal round The strong serving Hamilton Seekers soundly defeated Redmen athletes of the week for their efforts on the court against Bishop Reding recently Sarah Lindsay a member of the midget girls volleyball team was selected for her strong play and leadership in a midget girls volleyball tournament in Stayner last week and for her strong play in the Bishop Reding junior girls volleyball tournament last Fri day Darrell Bridge a midget boys basketball player
