many excellent scores resulting JUNIORS On May Youngs Pharmacy slipped past Smoke Shop 3025 Smashing in the homeruns for the game were Lynn Hayes for Youngs and Becky Coffin Andrew Pollock Mandy Forbes Robin Snelling and Danielle Van Dyke for the Smoke Shop Game stars were both teams who played excellently for their first game of the season In the other game occurring Insurance out hit Pools 3431 Bagtrippers were hit in by Marie White Ashley McMahon Neil and McLean all of Again both teams played so well for their first game they were named the game stars May 30 saw two very close games again from the junior competitors Delrex Smoke Shop narrowly escaped the grasp of Insurance 3228 Homerun hitters and game stars for Smoke Shop were Forbes Heather Pollock and Andrew Pollock Claiming the game star honours for was Candice Moncton The same week Pools came up three runs short as Stan dard Products finished on top Knocking in the homers for Standard were Laura Willis and Katherine Leonard Willis and Leonard also claimed the game stars for Standard while Adrienne Lambert and Elena McLeod were the stars for Nikkis Rounding out the first three weeks play on June saw Nikkis Pools away with the first victory of the season as they clobbered Rapid Print Knocking in home runs and claiming game star honours were Jennifer Armstrong for Pic tures and Presents and Nolan for Rapid Print Also on May 23 Optimists slip ped past Lodge Game stars for this matchup were An drea Borg of Elks and Jenny Carter of the Optimists May 30 saw two more unequal matchups Elks Lodge regained their confidence as they almost doubled their opponents Dairy Queen Hitting In homers for Elks were Moore and Teri Barber Game stars were Moore and Robin Ransom for Dairy Queen In the evenings other bout Op timists outplayed Halton Rapid Print 2411 Slamming in homeruns were Amy French and Becky Armstrong both of the Optimists Game stars were Halton Rapid Prints Heather Boyd and the Optimists
