cultural exchange program currently underway In Georgetown University students from Japan will be staying with a host family in Georgetown and attending classes at Georgetown District High School in Homestay Institute CHI will be bringing a second group of Japanese University students to Georgetown from August 22 to September 13 students will be involved in English classes which Cynthia Allan will be teaching during the mornings During the afternoon they will be touring such places as the Science Centre and Niagara Falls Some host families are still needed for this second group of Japanese University students In the evenings and on weekends host families are asked to treat the student as a member of their family and include them in ac tivities Why not try something fun and new with your 8770771 Norval family hosts Peel Holstein meet By KAY WILSON The Peel Holstein Twilight Meeting was held at the farm of Gord and Rosie Terry and Barb and Wayne and Debbie Laidlaw and families all of R R 2 on Tuesday evening July 16 at 7 Approximately people at tended and about of these were children The adults toured the stables while the children en joyed the playground Terry and Wayne welcomed the local farm families and neighbours and those visiting from other counties They also explained their breeding program and discussed the class of threeyearolds which everyone later judged The class was officially judged by Jeff Nurse of Halton County Many members of the Peel Holstein Club participated in the organizing of the evening Lunch consisted of hamburgers hot dogs doughnuts chocolate milk pop and coffee as well as prizes donated by Peel Farm Entertainment was provided by Bob Vetro and his wife Mary Lou Laidlaw and Bobs brothers Vince Joe and Mario and was thoroughly enjoyed by all Many thanks to all who made the night a special time Get well Get well wishes to Lou Rill who is ing at home following a recent three car accident at the corner of Sideroad and the Tenth Line These country roads are dangerous now with increased traffic on the Ninth Line tamview South at Georgetown as it is a through road now with stop signs on Sideroad 5 just at this one in tersection However Anniversary reunion of the Canadian Women Army Corp in Ottawa There were over 600 former Army girls there one of sveral reunions to be held this year to celebrate the formation of the Corps in 1941
