THURSDAY, APRIL 28, 2011 Board honours outstanding students Four Acton area students will be among those honoured May 5 when the Halton District School Board hosts the 27th annual "A Celebration of Student Excellence" at a Burlington high school. Each elementary and secondary public school nominates a student for this recognition for demonstrating outstanding qualities in more than one of the following areas: academic, vocational, athletic, selfimprovement, community work, citizenship and student leadership. More than 500 parents, principals, trustees, teachers and school administrators will take part in the celebration. "We welcome this opportunity to celebrate their success and to acknowledge the teachers, parents and community members who have helped these students in their achievements," said David Euale, Director of Education for the Halton District School Board.
