Police report on February 26, a Mill Street resident returned home to find a Playstation 3 and 30 games valued at $2,400 had been stolen from a basement recreation room. Footprints at the side of the house led police to believe the suspect(s) entered the basement through a side door. A similar theft had occurred at the home in September 2010. Illegal burn Acton firefighters extinguished a large fire of carpet, furniture and household goods at a property at the southwest corner of Highway 7 and 22 Side Road at 12:49 on Saturday. The homeowner was advised not to conduct any more burns without getting a required burn permit. Alarm malfunction A Tanners Drive homeowner had to replace his smoke alarms after the hard-wired alarms sounded without reason at 1:17 last Wednesday afternoon. The alarms would not reset, even when the breaker was switched off and back on.
