Tucker died from his injuries. Lisa Buck said they want to get the word out to ensure that no one else suffers the same loss they have. Tucker died later that night as they were driving him to a veterinary hospital in Guelph. Buck, whose Delrex Blvd. home backs onto the ravine, said Tucker, their eight-year old West Highland white terrier, was in their backyard TUESDAY, January 12, 2010 Coyote blamed in death of pet Wednesday evening like he often is. She said he doesn't like the cold, so about 8:30 p.m. her husband Ken went out to investigate and found the dog bloodied and lying in the corner of their yard. "He was bleeding on the neck and a couple of other spots, and he was having trouble breathing," said Buck. They rushed Tucker to the emergency veterinary clinic in Brampton, where the vet told them Tucker had probably been attacked by a coyote. The dog was stabilized, so they left him at the clinic and went home, but were called back shortly afterward.
