Halton Hills, ON Local REALTORS® have launched a public awareness campaign focused on improving the Quality of Life in our community. The Brampton Real Estate Board is committed to improving Quality of Life in Halton Hills by supporting growth that encourages economic vitality, provide housing opportunities and builds communities with good schools and safe neighbourhoods. "Local REALTORS® have adopted a Quality of Life program to make sure the values important to our community are reflected in the business and community practices of the real estate board," said Ruth Ballantyne, BREB President. "Adopting the Quality of Life philosophy represents a real commitment from REALTORS® to improve our community for families and business." The Quality of Life philosophy is a collection of five principles that will help to shape and guide the activities of REALTORS® and the Brampton Real Estate Board. The five principles that make up Quality of Life are: · Ensuring Economic Vitality · Providing Housing Opportunities · Preserving Our Environment · Protecting Property Owners · Building Better Communities "REALTORS® sell much more than homes; they sell the liveability of their communities they sell Quality of Life," said Ms. Ballantyne. "Everyone wants economic vitality, affordable housing, a safe and attractive community and a healthy environment. But these things don't just happen. Over the coming weeks and months, local REALTORS® will continue to focus on improving the Quality of Life in our community. "It is our hope that by bringing Quality of Life issues to the forefront, politicians and other decision makers will recognize the importance of these issues to the future of our community, said Ms. Ballantyne. "As REALTORS®, we will continue to contribute to the betterment of the local community and help to educate residents about issues that impact our future." 7 Georgetown/Acton/Erin/Rockwood, Tuesday January 19, 2010 FREE UPGRADES WORTH 10% OF YOUR HOME PRICE!
