Women's shelter fundraiser is Feb. 27 Halton Women's Place stages its Once Upon a Time-- Dinner, Dance, Auction on Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Oakville Conference and Banquet Centre, 2515 Wyecroft Rd. It will feature Rick Campanelli of Entertainment Tonight Canada as emcee. The event will raise much-needed funds to provide services to the women and children who go to the shelter or call the crisis line for help. The gala has raised more than $500,000 in its 14 years. Tickets are $150 each and include a wine reception, dinner, open bar, silent and live auctions, entertainment and dancing.
