Additional dates slated for Hydro One hearing Several additional dates have been added for a hearing in which some area residents are appealing a Niagara Escarpment Commission decision to conditionally approve a development permit application by Hydro One Networks Inc. to build a hydro transmission line through part of Halton Hills. The hearing, which has already been heard over several days, will continue Feb. 19, 22-25, March 22-26, April 6, 8, and 9. The hearing will be held in the Civic Centre council chambers. The involved residents are Steve and Pat Crouse, Robert Barlow, Anne Clifford, Dr. Roberta Thompson, Heather Thompson and Julia and John Jenkins. Chris Pappas of Meaford is also a party in the hearing. Also participating are lawyers for Hydro One Networks Inc., and the NEC, and NEC planner David Johnston. 9 Independent & Free Press, Thursday, February 11, 2010 Making music Valentines for veterans Area members of the Knights of Columbus and schoolchildren from the Halton Catholic District School Board recently prepared and shipped out more than 3,000 valentines to a Veteran Affairs Canada office in Prince Edward Island. The heartfelt wishes are to be mailed to veterans across the country in time for Valentine's Day Sunday.
