Diana, 7, and brother Billy, 6, Czarnota, got into the spirit of Earth Hour Saturday as they did a tally of their Georgetown south neighbours who turned off their lights. Billy decided to bring his battery-operated moon along for the walk while Diana kept track of the results. The final total of their Earth Hour "Walk and Tally" were 71 houses had their lights off and 50 houses kept their lights on. After the walk, the Czarnota family lit candles and took turns reading stories to each other. Submitted photo 5 SPRING IS HERE... Hydro consumption during Earth Hour-- 8:30 to 9:30 p.m.-- is compared to the hour before it. The drop in consumption was not as great this year right across the province. On Saturday, Ontario saw a four per cent drop in electricity demand during Earth Hour, which was less than the six per cent drop in 2009 and five per cent in 2008.
