(Hydro One) invites you to a public information centre to learn more about its plans to build the Bruce to Milton Transmission Reinforcement Project ("Bruce to Milton Project"). On December 16, 2009, the Bruce to Milton Project received Environmental Assessment approval allowing construction activities to begin on lands where the necessary property rights have been secured. The approval contains a number of conditions outlined in the Minister of Environment's Decision which can be viewed at: http://www.HydroOne.com/Projects/BrucetoMilton The Project involves building a 180-kilometre, double-circuit 500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from the Bruce Power Complex in Kincardine to Hydro One's Switching Station in Milton. This is the largest expansion of the Ontario transmission system in 20 years and will provide the capability to transmit an additional 3,000 megawatts of power from clean and renewable energy sources. Hydro One has begun activities to prepare for construction of the new line including vegetation removal and installation of temporary access roads. Major construction work such as foundation installation will begin in May, 2010 followed by tower assembly, and line stringing. Public Information Centres In our continuing efforts to keep your community informed about this important infrastructure project and address your concerns we are holding three public information centres (PICs). At the PICs, you can learn more about construction activities, the Project schedule, and mitigation measures such as our Biodiversity Initiative. You'll also have an opportunity to talk to Hydro One staff one-on-one about the Project. We hope to see you at one of our PICs in April: April 13, 2010 Hanover - Knights of Columbus Centre 963 Bruce Road 4 4 p.m. 8 p.m. April 14, 2010 Holstein - Egremont Optimist Community Centre 392137 Grey Road 109 4 p.m. 8 p.m. April 15, 2010 Marsville - East Garafraxa Public School 063066 County Road 3 4 p.m. 8 p.m. For any additional information contact: Marylena Stea Community Relations Officer Hydro One Networks Inc.
