Choral Society to sing jukebox favorites in spring concert By LAURENT THIBAULT Georgetown Choral Society Fresh from its very successful participation in the performance of The Armed Man at the Lincoln Centre in New York in January, the Georgetown Choral Society is delighted to change the pace and bring to the community a performance of light-hearted joyful music. Titled Jukebox Jamboree, the concert will feature 25 popular pieces selected from each decade of the past 100 years, so there will be something for all ages. You haven't lived until you've heard 100 people in four-voice harmony singing favourites like: Mack the Knife, Love Me Tender, Over the Rainbow, Send in the Clowns, Ole Man River and the best of the Beach Boys and the Beatles. Choir members are getting right into the spirit of things and many plan to come dressed in period costumes. The choir's longtime Artistic Director A. Dale Wood is on a leave of absence this spring session to re-charge his batteries, but is returning in the fall. However, the choir is delighted that Jack Morrison has stepped in as acting director.
