Hospital program can help Butt Out: a group smoking cessation program for smokers who want to quit will begin a spring session, Tuesdays, 6-7 p.m. May 18 to June 22, at the Georgetown Hospital. This program is specifically designed for smokers who want to quit. It consists of six weekly sessions that build on skills and information needed to develop a comprehensive individualized quit plan and provide support for smokers as they go through the quitting process. Activities include understanding why you smoke, getting ready to quit, preparing your plan, initial reactions to quitting, surviving the early days and moving on.
