Acton man charged in Milton crash An Acton man has been charged in connection with an accident on Trafalgar Rd. south of Britannia Rd. March 15 in which a four-year-old Milton girl was seriously injured. The collision occurred when a Honda Civic driven by a Milton woman with her daughter in the backseat began to have mechanical difficulties. The young girl remains in a Toronto hospital recovering from non-life threatening injuries. Charged with careless driving is Darryl Cary, 41, of Acton. He is to appear in Milton Court on May 31. *** A 2002 Dodge Caravan valued at $8,000 was stolen from a residence on Poplar Dr. in Acton sometime between 4:20 and 6:40 a.m. Tuesday. *** Credit cards were stolen sometime late Monday or early Tuesday from an unlocked vehicle parked in an unlocked garage at a Thompson Dr. Georgetown residence Halton Police report. The volunteers will be out for Community Clean Up Day, part of Earth Week celebrations in Halton Hills. Many of them are part of large, wellorganized community groups and others are simply individuals or families determined to do their bit. Collectively their efforts make a huge difference in the appearance of the town, and their efforts clean up the environment and make it healthier for all the species that live here. Groups such as the Hornby Area Rate Payers (HARP) have turned the annual spring clean up into a huge social event. After scouring miles of rural roads, members get together for a barbecue in Hornby Park, providing them with the chance to catch up with neighbours. This is the 10th year of the Hornby cleanup. "Some people think that litter is something the Town should look after, but that is simply impossible," said Litter Free Task Force Chair Councillor Jane Fogal.
