On Monday, 16 volunteers from across Halton were recognized for their efforts at a volunteer breakfast hosted by Halton Region and Volunteer Halton. "Volunteers make a vital contribution to the quality of life for people living in Halton," said Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr. "On behalf Halton Regional Council I want to thank all volunteers for the work they do to make Halton a healthy and vibrant community." Becky Kellar, four-time Olympic gold medalist with Canada's Women's Hockey Team, was the keynote speaker at the event.
