Book bargains Local Canadian Federation of University Women members, (from left) Marg Kalil, Anne McGrath and Penny Cawker, were among those who have been busy sorting books in their space at 53 Armstrong, which was donated by Georgetown Terminal Warehouse, in preparation for their annual book sale. The selection this year is tremendous as the CFUW bins have been swamped with donations. Luckily the venue is larger than in the past. It will be a great opportunity to stock up for summer reading or test out new authors. The sale, which runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 1, will be held at Christ the King High School. In addition to books, there will also be toys, puzzles, CDs, DVDs, videos and lots of kids books. Proceeds to scholarships. Photo by Ted Brown Songs for Hope returns to The Roxy Songs for Hope-- the fundraiser for Sick Kids Foundation-- returns on Saturday, May 8 at a new location, the Roxy, 6 Mill St. E., in downtown Acton. This is the 11th Songs for Hope, with the proceeds to go to cancer research at the Hospital for Sick Children. The featured artists participating include Ablett and Cooper, Jenikz, Nabi Loney and Second Wind.
