The visit was organized as part of the RNAO's Take your MPP to Work Program and was part of the Nursing Week celebrations at Halton Healthcare Services (HHS). Our thanks to MPP Arnott for visiting Georgetown Hospital and spending time with our nurses. Georgetown Hospital Volunteer Association Raises $60,000 Thanks to the Georgetown Hospital Volunteer Association (GHVA) for their fabulous donation! The Association was able to raise $60,000 through various fundraising efforts done throughout the year. They proudly presented their cheque at their Annual General Meeting on May 19, 2010. The funds will be used to purchase essential medical equipment for Georgetown Hospital. President's Cup Golf Tournament The President's Cup Golf Tournament is being held at the Club at North Halton on Monday, July 26, 2010. There is still an opening for a foursome team, and as always we are welcoming hole sponsors and President's Circle sponsors to be part of this wonderful fundraising event. This year, The President's Cup Golf Tournament is aiming to raise $50,000 for essential hospital equipment at Georgetown Hospital. Award of Excellence Halton Healthcare Services' cafeterias at Georgetown Hospital, Milton District Hospital and Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital have recently been awarded the Eat Smart! Award of Excellence by the Halton Region Public Health Department. This award recognizes Ontario workplaces that meet exceptional standards in nutrition, food safety and safe food handling practices as well as a smoke free environment.
