The grass looks like a green carpet and it seems everyone is busy planting all those beautiful flowers. Golf is in full swing and hockey playoffs are still going on. June is a busy month at the Centre, sort of a wind down for summer. The annual Variety Night starts the month off with their show of local talent on Tuesday, June 1 beginning at 7 p.m. No tickets necessary. The next day, June 2, Mingle and Chat have an auction at 10 a.m. Come, take part in this fun by bringing a wrapped gift and bidding on the surprise gifts. Bids run from $1-$5. You never know what you are buying but, one thing for sure, you'll know you are going to have lots of fun. The Town of Halton Hills is holding a volunteer recognition celebration at the Gellet Centre, Tuesday, June 8, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. You should have received your invitation by now. This year our Centre celebrates 15 years of service to local seniors. We are holding a chicken barbecue on Friday, June 18 beginning at 5 p.m. Enjoy barbecue chicken, salads, rolls, dessert, & tea/coffee. There will be entertainment and loads of fun.
