Police believe man hit by train Love Douglas, Duncan and Ainsley A man was found dead late Tuesday afternoon beside the railway tracks in the Dayfoot Dr. and Mill St. area of Georgetown. Halton Regional Police believe the man was struck by a train after conducting an investigation. A citizen reported the discovery to police around 5 p.m. The male victim is believed to be in his 30s, but his identity had yet to be confirmed as of press time Wednesday. Trains were stopped in both directions during the time of the investigation, which is continuing. Halton Police and CN Rail officials are seen along the railway tracks from the Main Street bridge in Georgetown after the body of a man, believed to be in his 30s, was found Tuesday afternoon. The tree was cut up and removed from the roadway.
