I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play. Work left undone must stay that way, I found God's peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, Please fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Are things that will be missed. Do not be burdened with grief and sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seemed all to brief, Don't be weighed down with undue grief. Lift up your heart and rejoice with me, God wanted me now. He set me free. The Canada-wide contest challenges students to create useable consumer products within a given set of parameters. Design professionals from across the province recently converged on downtown Toronto to judge the entries, and Acton students once again did well with Jesse Voelkner (right) earning third place in the Architecture/Interior Design Senior Category (Grades 11 & 12) and Jonathan Van Oosten (left) receiving the Honourable Mention in the Architecture/Interior Design Junior Category (Grade 9 & 10). The Architecture/Interior Design challenge in both grade groups required students to design and model a contemporary and sustainable bus shelter. Their work will be on display at the Design Exchange (DX) in Toronto until July 12.
