Halton Hills Wards 3&4 public school trustee Gillian Tuck Kutarna filed her nomination papers on Friday to run as Halton Hills's public school trustee. In the spring, Halton District School Board trustees had voted to reduce Halton Hills's allocation of two trustees to one, and give the other to Milton. Wards 1&2 and Ward 3&4 will now be combined into one single seat. Wards 1&2 Halton Hills public school trustee Gerry Ockenden is also seeking re-election. Running for Ward 4 local councillor is Waldo Paquete of Mountainview Rd. S. who filed his nomination papers on June 23. He is running for one of the two local seats available in Ward 4. His opponents will be incumbents John Duncan and Bob Inglis and newcomer Ross McDuff.
