In June, the Town received a letter from Kate Murray of the North Halton Celtic Historical Society, a re-formed, renamed Friends of the Fallbrook citizens group. The new organization has developed a work plan that would see the original McClure cabin on the Fallbrook site on 27 Sideroad restored and the later additions on the cabin rebuilt and reused for rental for a caretaker/curator of the property. The group requested more time to work on their plan, and council concurred, deferring the designation until a September council meeting. Designation involves a 19th century square log house located within the Silver Creek Conservation Area on 27 Sideroad, as well as the 27 Sideroad stone arch bridge, and McClure mill site.
