DEATHS GROAT, Ruth Donalda (nee McEachern) With her devoted girls by her side, and with tremendous courage, dignity, love and a determined fight to hold onto life and all it's gifts, Ruth passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 10th, 2010 in the comfort of her cherished home. Two weeks following her 73rd birthday, after a valiant struggle with cancer, she is now reunited with the love of her life, Charlie, whom she has dearly missed. Loving and treasured mother to daughters, Karen Gallant and Gayle Gorman and beloved sons-in-law, John Gallant and Kevin Gorman. Ruth's greatest joys were her family and her grandchildren. She was the adored and cherished grandma to Natalie and Blaise Gallant and Hayden Gorman. She was truly saddened that she would not continue to be a part of her beautiful grandchildren's lives. Eldest daughter of the late John and Margaret McEachern, Brampton. Beloved sister and friend of Ian and his wife Marilyn McEachern, Hazel-Ellen and her husband the late David Armstrong. Ruth's kind, giving and gentle nature will be a void in our lives She had grace, gentleness, hospitality and friendship in one perfect package. She will remain in the hearts of all who knew her, her smile will continue to light our lives.
