Celebrating Minor Sports Rep & House League Updates Georgetown and Acton SCOREBOARD EBO Thursday, September 2, 2010 The Georgetown Eagles will play host to the Baseball Ontario rookie ball AA championships this weekend and tuned up for it by winning the Central Ontario Baseball Association AA title in Waterdown earlier this month. All games will be held at the Georgetown Fairgrounds, with the Eagles opening the 10-team, double-knockout event 8 Pages Eagles host provincials after COBA AA triumph against East York at 11 a.m. Friday. The championship game is set for Sunday afternoon. At the COBA tourney, the Eagles began with an 8-3 victory over the Mississauga Bengals and a 14-12 win against the Brampton Royals, then faced the Bengals in a doubleheader on the Sunday, taking the final contest 14-10. Laying it on the line A 14-10 triumph over Mississauga clinched the Central Ontario AA rookie ball championship for the Georgetown Eagles and they'll host the provincials this weekend.
