Cello meets guitar in concert Friday Georgetown Alliance Church presents Daniel and Carey Domb in concert at the church, 290 Main St. S. on Friday, Sept. 24, at 7:30 p.m. An accomplished cellist, Daniel has been the featured cello soloist in concerts with the Chicago Symphony with Seiji Ozawa, the Boston Pops with Arthur Fiedler, The National Symphony, Saint Louis Symphony and Cleveland Orchestra. He also gave recitals in New York's Carnegie Hall and Town Hall, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, London's Wigmore Hall and many other venues throughout Europe and North America. He has served as principal cellist of the Cleveland Orchestra under Lorin Maazel and most recently has been the principal Cellist of the Toronto Symphony. Although she has dedicated herself to teaching, Carey has played with the Houston Pops Orchestra, Montovani Orchestra, CJRT Orchestra, Toronto Philharmonic and as a substitute in the Toronto Symphony. These two very accomplished musicians combine the music from the cello and guitar into a unique and delightful musical experience that you won't want to miss.
