Trillium grants presented At a recent presentation of Ontario Trillium Foundation grants, representaives of the various groups gathered at the Civic Centre for a photo. On hand were, (from left), Wellington-Halton Hills MPP Ted Arnott, Georgetown Slo-Pitch president Jamie Chouinard and treasurer Peter Wanner, (the ball league received a one-year $100,000 grant), Light Up the Hills representatives Moira Robinson and Gerrie Kentner, (LUTH received a oneyear, $21,500 grant), Ontario Trillium Foundation volunteer Judy Showers, Georgetown Little Theatre representatives Vera Macdonald and president Virginia Bancur, (GLT received a one-year $20,200 grant to celebrate the group's 50th anniversary) Georgetown Concert Band representatives Barry Timleck, band director Daniella Baryla, and Roper Galloway, band president (GCB received $15,000 over one year to purchase musical equipment) and Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonnette. (Below) Ron Birrell (Heritage Acton Chairman) receives a plaque from Gail Grant of the Trillium Foundation commemerating the $150,000 grant to help fund the Town Hall addition.
