Alcoa employees in Georgetown had a hair-raising good time on September 17 when the company held a Crazy Hairdo Day. After a delicious meal of hamburgers, hot dogs and salads, Alcoa staff had front-row seats as seven of their co-workers shaved off their locks in support of the Terry Fox Foundation. The fun continued with a Crazy Hairdo Contest, a 50/50 draw and cake. Photos by Andrea Lefebvre ABOVE: Plant manager Ted Laing congratulates Helen Sparalis on her 25 years with Alcoa. Armstrong For starters, I hope you have had a discussion about "Auto Reform" which will affect everybody after September 1st, 2010. Auto Reform and available "Buy Up" options are really important to learn about now and when your policy renews. Why not get informed before your policy renews so you can think about the options that are best for you. Recently, a number of our clients have shown concern about what they should do in the event of an accident. A recent article in a daily newspaper about "Fraud" has made them wary and rightfully so. Update your knowledge in what to do and dont be a victim of "Accident Fraud". Call and we will give you the information you need to obtain and the actions you need to take. A good number of accidents happen within miles of your home often in a mall parking lot and shopping centre. While drivers are looking around aimlessly for a parking spot, the "Fraud Artist" is looking for you to be careless and arrange an accident where you become at fault. Passengers in other vehicles use you as the catalist to collect from their "Accident Benefits" for their perceived injuries. If you are found at fault, your premium and driving privleges could be affected. Scary isnt it? Be watchful of other drivers, especially those with older vehicles and a number of passengers. Something might be on their minds other than shopping. Ever watch people walking in a mall. They manouver like they never drove to get there. They too are candidates for potential bodily injury claims if they wander out in front of you. Be alert, be cautious and help reduce accidents with a view to "Stabalizing Premiums".
