Unique Textiles exhibit opens Barb Herner of Devereaux House puts the final touches on `Milie', a dress form at Devereaux House, as part of the Timeless Textiles home crafts and fibre art exhibition. The exhibition features for the first time all local craft guilds together in one show, with sewing, knitting, weaving, rug hooking, cross-stitching and felting being featured in the show. It was more of a fun day for the kids as they helped load their belongings onto school buses and moved to the new site. Enrolment that year was 274. Brookville will be holding a recognition ceremony on Thursday, October 7, 5-8 p.m. with an open house, reception, and dedication of the school bell and the placing of a time capsule, to be opened in 2060.
