Butter Tarts with Cranberries and Walnuts Well, if there were ever a great Canadian debate, none has ever been so long running or fierce than the debate over butter tarts! One of the few recipes that is truly Canadian, it seems like every citizen has a different viewpoint: runny or solid, raisins or currants, walnuts or pecans, or dare I say, simply plain! I am sticking to tradition by using the turn of the century ingredients, but mixing it up by making them mini and adding cranberries. Hmm, I wonder if anyone will protest? Let the debate rage on!
