When patients are well informed, participate in treatment decisions, and communicate openly with their doctor and other healthcare providers, they help make care as effective as possible. While you are a patient at the Hospital you have certain rights and responsibilities. These rights and responsibilities are recognized as important parts of the care process and are based on the values our patients have identified as being important to them. They are also supported by all staff, physicians and volunteers associated with our three community hospitals Georgetown Hospital, Milton District Hospital and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. With the input of patients and caregivers, HHS has developed Patient Rights and Responsibilities that have been shared throughout our organization. We are interested in your feedback and invite you to visit our website at www.haltonhealthcare.com to participate in a short survey concerning the HHS Patient Rights and Responsibilities. Thank you. Email a Patient Halton Healthcare Services is pleased to offer a complimentary patient email service for those that cannot come in for a personal visit. Log onto www.haltonhealthcare.com and find the link to Email a Patient under Quick Links. A Georgetown Hospital volunteer will print your message on special paper, seal it and arrange for delivery.
